Privacy notice
This notice explains how New Leaf Bids handles personal information when you use our website and auction services. New Leaf Bids is operated by New Leaf Senior Transitions, LLC, which is the seller of record on every lot.
Information we collect
We collect account and contact details, shipping and billing addresses, bids, watchlists, purchases, customer-service messages, device and usage data, and communication preferences. We also record the fact and time of the consents you give us, such as agreeing to receive text messages.
Card details never reach us
Card numbers are entered directly into fields hosted by Stripe, our payment processor, and go to Stripe from your browser. They do not pass through or get stored on New Leaf Bids servers. What we keep is a reference to the card held at Stripe plus enough to identify it on screen: the brand, the last four digits, and the expiry month and year. That is what you see in your account and what we check against an auction's close date before letting you bid. Stripe handles the card itself under its own privacy policy, and New Leaf Senior Transitions, LLC receives payment status, the amounts charged, and limited transaction detail back from it.
How we use it
We use information to operate auctions, authenticate accounts, decide bidding eligibility, price and charge invoices, calculate sales tax, fulfill and ship purchases, prevent fraud, provide support, send requested service messages, comply with law, and improve New Leaf Bids.
Who receives it
We share only what is needed with service providers that operate the auction platform, payments and tax calculation, hosting, database, email or SMS, analytics, shipping, and support. Where a lot is shipped rather than collected, the carrier and any fulfillment partner receive the recipient name, shipping address, lot, quantity, and order details needed to deliver the purchase. We may also disclose information when legally required or in a business transfer.
Text messages and email
Transactional messages may include bid, account, payment, and shipment updates. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. The full SMS program terms are in our terms of sale. Marketing messages are sent only where permitted and can be stopped using the unsubscribe method in the message. Your mobile number is used to reach you and is not sold or shared with anyone for their own marketing.
Retention and security
We retain information for as long as needed for the purposes above, including transaction, tax, fraud-prevention, and legal recordkeeping. We use reasonable safeguards, but no online system can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
You may update account information, your saved card, and communication preferences through your account where available. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive information, or to object to certain uses. We may need to verify your request and retain records required by law. Write to support@newleafbids.com to make a request.
Children and changes
New Leaf Bids is not directed to children under 13, and bidding requires an adult account. We may update this notice as the service changes and will post the effective date and version on this page. This is version 2026-08-26.2.
